Williamsville is a genuinely historic village tucked inside the Town of Amherst, built around the Glen Falls waterfall on Ellicott Creek and a Main Street lined with 19th-century storefronts that still anchor the village's small-town feel. Island Park, a village-owned park that literally sits on an island in the creek beside the falls, draws walkers and photographers year-round, and the village's Historic Preservation Commission actively protects the older buildings along Main Street. Despite its small footprint, Williamsville has its own separate village government, mayor and building department, distinct from the much larger Town of Amherst that surrounds it. Housing near the village core tends toward well-kept older homes, with denser residential streets close to Main Street and larger lots toward the edges.

On private property — a driveway, a yard, a job site — you will not normally need a permit anywhere in Erie County, and that covers the large majority of our Williamsville deliveries. What matters far more is whether the surface can take the weight and whether the truck can physically get in.
