Why people call us back

Dumpster rental that fits the job, not the other way round

Most people call us in the middle of something stressful — a garage that finally has to be dealt with, a tear-off that starts Monday, a parent's house that needs clearing. The last thing you need is a pricing puzzle or a container that turns up two days late.

So we keep it simple. You tell us roughly what you are getting rid of and where it needs to sit. We tell you the size that actually suits, the flat rate that covers everything, and when the truck will be there. Then we show up.

We work out of a yard on 75 Ransier Dr in Buffalo — a Great Lakes city of century-old two-family "doubles" and bungalows packed tight on the West Side and in the Old First Ward, ringed by newer subdivisions filling in out toward Amherst and Clarence. Our crew knows which narrow city driveways are too tight for a 30 yard, which suburban HOAs out past the Southtowns are worth a quick call before delivery, and what a foot of lake-effect snow off Lake Erie does to an unplowed driveway overnight in January.

  • Right-sized advice. We would rather sell you a 15 than have you pay for air in a 30.
  • Honest weight allowances. Stated in tons on the quote, not buried in terms.
  • Flexible rental periods. Standard is seven days; keep it longer for a small daily rate.
  • Proper disposal. Sorted and diverted where possible, New York waste rules respected.

The process

How it works

Four steps, one phone call, no online forms to fight with.

  1. 1

    Call and describe the job

Tell us what you are clearing and where it will sit. We ask a few questions about weight and access, then quote a flat rate on the spot at (716) 274-8073.

  2. 2

    We deliver and protect

The driver texts ahead, lays boards under the rails and sets the container exactly where you want it. Doors face the way you need them to.

  3. 3

Fill it at your own pace

Standard rental is seven days. Load heavy material flat on the floor, keep everything level with the top rail, and keep banned items out.

  4. 4

One call and it is gone

Ring us when you are done. We collect, weigh, sort what can be diverted and dispose of the rest properly. No chasing, no paperwork.

Reviews

What our neighbors say

A sample of the feedback we have had from customers around Buffalo, Erie County and the surrounding suburbs.

  • We called on a Tuesday morning and had a 20 yard sitting in the driveway before lunch. The driver walked us through what would and wouldn't fit before we paid a cent, and boards went down under the wheels so our new pavers came through it without a mark. Price matched exactly what was quoted on the phone.

Danielle R.West Seneca — Home Cleanout

  • I run several tear-offs a week in season and Blue Bull is the outfit that actually hits the delivery window. Call for a swap by mid-afternoon and there is an empty container on site the next morning. That kind of reliability out along the airport corridor is worth more than a few dollars a load.

    Rob K.Cheektowaga — Roofing Contractor

  • Clearing my mother's house near Cazenovia Park was one of the hardest months of our lives. They let us keep the container an extra week without any fuss, and the driver actually helped my husband wrestle an old sleeper sofa over the rail. Genuinely kind people at a time it mattered.

The difference

Why Buffalo keeps calling Blue Bull

  • We answer the phone

You get a person who knows the trucks and the schedule, not a call center three states away reading from a script. Most quotes take under four minutes.

  • One flat rate, all in

Delivery, pickup, a generous weight allowance, disposal and tax are quoted together up front. If the number changes, it is because you asked for something extra.

  • Same-day when you need it

Call before noon on a weekday and there is a good chance we can have a container on your driveway the same afternoon. Next morning at the latest.

  • Your driveway is protected

Boards go down under the rails on every residential drop, at no charge. Our drivers know these streets and treat your property like their own.

  • Disposed of properly

We sort and divert what we can and follow New York's waste rules to the letter, so nothing you hand us turns into a problem later.

  • Local, not a franchise

Locally owned and operated right here in Buffalo. When something goes sideways you talk to someone who knows the trucks, usually the same day.

Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can you deliver a dumpster in Buffalo?

If you call before about noon on a weekday we can usually deliver the same afternoon, and next-morning delivery is standard the rest of the time. Lake-effect snow season (roughly November through March) is our busiest and most unpredictable stretch in Erie County, so if your project has a fixed start date it is worth booking a few days ahead. Storm and post-storm cleanup calls get moved to the front of the queue where we can.

What does your flat rate actually include?

Delivery, a standard seven-day rental, pickup, a stated weight allowance in tons, disposal at a permitted facility, and state and local taxes. There is nothing hidden underneath it. The only things that would change your number are keeping the container past the rental period, going over the weight allowance, needing it relocated on site, or putting banned material in it.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Buffalo?

Not if it sits on your own driveway or private property, which covers the large majority of our residential drops. If the container has to sit on a public street you will generally need a right-of-way permit from the City of Buffalo or the relevant town or Erie County. Rules vary between Buffalo and the surrounding communities, so always confirm with that municipality first.

Will the truck damage my driveway?

We lay protective boards under the container rails on every residential delivery at no charge, and our drivers are trained to spread the load and avoid pivot turns on soft or icy surfaces. That handles the ordinary risk. A driveway with an already-failing base, fresh sealcoat, or ground still soft after a spring thaw or heavy rain is a different conversation — tell us and we will suggest a placement that works.

What can't I put in the dumpster?

New York restricts a number of materials from ordinary landfill disposal — paint, solvents and oils, tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals, propane tanks and gas cylinders, and medical waste among them. Call us and we will tell you exactly where each of those should go instead, or point you to New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) for the full rules.

How long do I get to keep it?

Seven days comes standard with every rental, which is comfortable for most home cleanouts and single-trade jobs. If you need longer, just say so when you book — extra days are charged at a modest daily rate and we would far rather extend you than have you rush. Contractors on longer builds usually run a standing swap-out schedule instead.

Do you serve towns outside Buffalo?

Yes. We regularly run to West Seneca, Cheektowaga, South Buffalo, Lackawanna, Depew, Lancaster, Orchard Park, Hamburg, Elmwood Village, Amherst, Williamsville, Tonawanda (Town), Kenmore, Grand Island, Clarence, East Aurora, Springville, plus the neighborhoods and rural stretches in between. If you are near the edge of that circle, ring us — Erie County is not huge and we usually make it work.

Can I get a dumpster for concrete, brick or dirt?

Yes, but it needs to be a dedicated clean load in a smaller low-side container — usually a 10 yard. Heavy inert material hits the weight limit long before it fills the box, and keeping it separate from mixed debris means it can go to a recycler rather than the landfill, which keeps your cost down. Never mix concrete with household junk or wood.
